20 March 2021 was World Sparrow Day and Chandigarh Bird Club celebrated it with its usual fervour. Every year, club members visit schools and colleges to talk about sparrows and distribute nest-boxes. This year was no different.

Mehr Chand Mahajan Dayanand Anglo Vedic College for Women invited CBC to give a virtual lecture on sparrows.

Club Members visited MCM DAV College to give a presentation and donated nest-boxes.

Rima Dhillon, Sarbjeet Kaur, Saroj Gulati, and Amandeep Singh Channa visited the College and donated four nest-boxes to them. The College also bought four more nest-boxes from the club. Amandeep gave a presentation titled, “Sparrows of India” to a virtual class.
